By faith Moses’ parents hid him for three months after he was born, because they saw he was no ordinary child, and they were not afraid of the king’s edict.

Hebrews 11:23

Wait a minute! Did I just read what I think I read? Hebrews 11 is often referred to as the Hall of Faith. The people mentioned in this chapter have earned their place by some feat of great faith in action. How did Moses’ parents get here? They defied the king’s edict! Haven’t they heard any of the modern day pastors preach on how Romans 13 requires complete and absolute submission to the authorities? Oh, I guess not. There were no modern day pastors and no Romans Chapter 13.

Even so, they did the right thing and were commended for it. We know that Romans 13 speaks of submitting to legitimate authority. If a bandit puts on a policeman’s costume and demands you let him in your house, Romans 13 doesn’t require you to open the door. Likewise a politician that has gained his position by much more nefarious means than the crook found his cop’s attire has no legitimate authority if his dictates violate the law of the land, which is the Constitution.

Come back every Sunday for a new Prepper Bible Study! The most important prep of all is knowing GOD. Jesus said “what does it profit a man if he gains the whole world yet loses his own soul?” Prepper translation: “What good will it do you to survive the coming economic collapse, nuclear war or even a zombie apocalypse if you don’t know you will go to heaven when you die.” A recent study found that 10 out of 10 people die! On that day we will meet our Maker. It only makes sense to be prepared for that day. Click here to learn more about knowing GOD.

Have a blessed day and happy prepping!
