Noah

By faith Noah, when warned about things not yet seen, in holy fear built an ark to save his family.

Hebrews 11:7

Two weeks ago, we talked about faith in action. There is no better picture of putting feet to your faith than the story of Noah. A man who lives in a depraved generation sees the coming calamity and does what God leads him to do and shields his family from the wrath that is about to overtake all of humanity.

Sounds pretty applicable to me. What you’ll have trouble finding in the Bible is examples of people that said “I’m just going to trust that Jesus will work it all out for me.” Not that he can’t. We see plenty of examples of people doing their best even though it isn’t enough. Then, God miraculously steps in and takes care of the rest. Noah is the perfect example of that. He was obedient to build the ark and prepare as best he could. Despite his best efforts, without God, it all would have been in vain. After the ark was complete, there was no time to round up all those critters. But God provided.

Faith isn’t sitting on our laurels nor is it trying to do everything ourselves. God wants to work with us to create a fantastic journey that we can share with him. That’s how relationships happen, through the journey together. And that is God’s heart and desire. I pray that it will be our desire as well.

Come back every Sunday for a new Prepper Bible Study! The most important prep of all is knowing GOD. Jesus said “what does it profit a man if he gains the whole world yet loses his own soul?” Prepper translation: “What good will it do you to survive the coming economic collapse, nuclear war or even a zombie apocalypse if you don’t know you will go to heaven when you die.” A recent study found that 10 out of 10 people die! On that day we will meet our Maker. It only makes sense to be prepared for that day. Click here to learn more about knowing GOD.

Have a blessed day and happy prepping!
