And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.

Ephesians 4:32

If you have a spirit of prophecy, you’re a truth lover. It’s in your God-given nature to want to tell people like it is. You have no trouble speaking into people’s lives, even when it hurts. And yes, as abrasive as it may seem, that’s your spiritual gift.

Here’s the caveat. God didn’t give you that gift just to speak your mind and offend folks. He gave you that gift to effect change. If people cross the street to avoid another dose of your “spiritual gift”, you’re just a clanging cymbal or noisy gong. You have to temper your truth with love.

Being kind and courteous may not come naturally to you. That’s no excuse to not obey today’s verse. But I don’t have to tell you that. You’re a truth lover. You already knew that. So, how about this week we make a conscious effort to be kind and tenderhearted to one another. That person who you’re getting ready to “speak some truth to” may be having a rough day. More than a harsh dose of truth, they might need a little care and compassion.

Jesus said “what does it profit a man if he gains the whole world yet loses his own soul?” Prepper translation: “What good will it do you to survive the coming economic collapse, nuclear war, or even a zombie apocalypse if you don’t know you will go to heaven when you die.” A recent study found that 10 out of 10 people die! On that day we will meet our Maker. It only makes sense to be prepared for that day. Click here to learn more about knowing GOD.

Have a blessed day and happy prepping!
