And if ye shall despise my statutes, or if your soul abhor my judgments, so that ye will not do all my commandments, [but] that ye break my covenant: I also will do this unto you; I will even appoint over you terror, consumption, and the burning ague, that shall consume the eyes, and cause sorrow of heart: and ye shall sow your seed in vain, for your enemies shall eat it. And I will set my face against you, and ye shall be slain before your enemies: they that hate you shall reign over you; and ye shall flee when none pursueth you. And if ye will not yet for all this hearken unto me, then I will punish you seven times more for your sins.

Leviticus 26:15-18

Some verses are hard to expound upon. This is one of them. God is crystal clear about his intentions in this section of scripture and it needs no explanation.

However, I am always puzzled by Christians who think prepping displays a lack of faith. After reading Leviticus 26, I just sit in awe, wondering  how someone who believes such a book could actually not prepare. As I look at the state of America in the light of this scripture, my faith motivates me to try to be a little more prepared today than I was yesterday. As I consider the warning shots we’ve received in the past couple decades, such as 9/11 and the 2008 financial crisis, I wonder what is coming next. For God has said, “And if ye will not yet for all this hearken unto me, then I will punish you seven times more for your sins.”

My faith causes me to believe God says what he means and means what he says. And if you believe that verse, that he is going to punish us seven times more because we have still failed to hearken unto him, then you best start getting ready for it.

Come back every Sunday for a new Prepper Bible Study! The most important prep of all is knowing GOD. Jesus said “what does it profit a man if he gains the whole world yet loses his own soul?” Prepper translation: “What good will it do you to survive the coming economic collapse, nuclear war or even a zombie apocalypse if you don’t know you will go to heaven when you die.” A recent study found that 10 out of 10 people die! On that day we will meet our Maker. It only makes sense to be prepared for that day. Click here to learn more about knowing GOD.

Have a blessed day and happy prepping!
