crown

And thou shalt make a plate of pure gold, and grave upon it, like the engravings of a signet, HOLINESS TO THE LORD.

Exodus 28:36

In God’s instructions to Moses for Aaron’s attire, there was to be a golden crown that set him apart as holy to the LORD. Likewise, we are supposed to live lives that are set apart, as holy to the LORD. That has to come before any notion of relevance.

Yes, I believe that Paul was speaking of trying to be relevant to the culture when he said in 1 Corinthians 9, “I am made all things to all men, that I might by all means save some. And this I do for the gospel’s sake.” We know that Paul went to great lengths in Acts 17  to reach the lost and to try to present the gospel in a way that the Athenians could understand it. Yet, never did he waiver in his condemnation of sin.

My fear is that too large a portion of the American church at large has sacrificed their HOLINESS TO THE LORD in trying to be relevant. If we lose our message of holiness, there’s no longer any need to be relevant, for we teach a false gospel that offers salvation without repentance. And that is a message which will solidify the damnation of those who believe it.

Pray that God will teach you to reach the lost around you without compromising your HOLINESS TO THE LORD.

Come back every Sunday for a new Prepper Bible Study! The most important prep of all is knowing GOD. Jesus said “what does it profit a man if he gains the whole world yet loses his own soul?” Prepper translation: “What good will it do you to survive the coming economic collapse, nuclear war or even a zombie apocalypse if you don’t know you will go to heaven when you die.” A recent study found that 10 out of 10 people die! On that day we will meet our Maker. It only makes sense to be prepared for that day. Click here to learn more about knowing GOD.

Have a blessed day and happy prepping!
