fear not

Sunday Prepper Bible Study- Fear Not

Perhaps my favorite Bible verse is Isaiah 41:10 which reads So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

Today, one of the biggest fears for Christians and patriots is our federal government. we are being conditioned to sit down and shut up when it comes to our religious freedom and speaking out against unconstitutional laws. The headlines are filled with examples of intimidation from government when it comes to expressing these freedoms.

One of the worst examples has been religious oppression in the military. For years now, military chaplains have been restricted from praying “in Jesus” name. But now, soldiers caught sharing Christianity can face a court martial. Our troops who are being told that their sacrifice is to ensure freedom are being denied their First Amendment rights.

Families who wish to adopt in Massachusetts are being screened against Christian beliefs. Those found guilty of following Christ will be denied the opportunity to adopt. Families who hold what Massachusetts deems to be traditional values will also be banned from being foster parents.

We all remember the recent targeting of Tea party constituents by the IRS and phone hacking of Fox News by the DOJ. The message is being sent from Washington that the Constitution is no longer applicable and that we must comply, conform and confirm, or face the consequences.

The aim of all of these intimidation tactics are to get us as Christians and patriots to cower back in fear of winding up on a government watch list that may get us audited by the IRS,  or sent to Guantanamo Bay under the indefinite detention clause of the  2012 NDAA. That provision allows our government to indefinitely detain American citizens without charging them.

A recent FBI handout lists some things that might indicate that a person is a terrorist as people who want privacy, pay in cash, change their hair color, buy MREs, high capacity magazines, bi-pods, flashlights or gas masks, or make religious statements. Do you own a flashlight? If so, you’re probably already on the list.

Our verse today encourages us to do the right thing no matter the consequences. We must remember that God is with us and will fight beside us. If your not on a watch list by now, you are not doing your job as a Christian or a patriot. We must stand up and speak out. So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” Isaiah 41:10

If you are new to prepping or would like to learn more about how to prepare for tomorrow, please read our 7 Step Preparedness Plan. The most important prep of all is knowing GOD. Jesus said “what does it profit a man if he gains the whole world yet loses his own soul?” Prepper translation: “What good will it do you to survive the coming economic collapse, nuclear war or even a zombie apocalypse if you don’t know you will go to heaven when you die.” A recent study found that 10 out of 10 people die! On that day we will meet our Maker. It only makes sense to be prepared for that day. Click here to learn more about knowing GOD.

Have a blessed week and happy prepping!
