“Therefore the Lord, the LORD Almighty, the Mighty One of Israel, declares: “Ah, I will get relief from my foes and avenge myself on my enemies.” Isaiah 1:24

Today’s Bible verse will be the fourth in a series of verses from Isaiah 1. In Isaiah 1, God is calling Israel to account for their sins in forsaking him. Through the prophet Isaiah, He points out what they have done and what the effects and consequences are. Check out the previous weeks posts to follow this study from the beginning.

Obama declared that America is no longer a Christian nation. (Click the link to hear it from his own lips.) Our country elected a leader that came out in public and confessed that we are no longer bound to the principles set forth by our Creator. This is absolute defiance.

Unfortunately, we can’t just shake our heads and hope God will overlook this abominable statement. After all, he was elected by a majority. I know there were some questions about voting machines and so-forth.  But I can tell you, the majority of the people in my country actually voted for the man. Since he is the chosen representative of the country, I fear God may call the nation to account for this blasphemy. It is very  indicative of the spiritual climate of America. Not just that they elected someone that would say such a thing, but that it is not that far from the truth. We have drifted so far from God’s Word and His ways that, in a court of law, I doubt there would be enough evidence to convict us of being a Christian nation.

We are the number one exporter of pornography in the world, our military men and women can be court marshaled for sharing their faith in Christ, bibles and prayer have no place in schools and we murder over 1,000,000 children a year by abortion. Would you consider that to be a Christian nation?

When Israel turned their back on God, their destruction was absolute. God gave them warning after warning, but they would not repent. God’s patience finally wore thin and He lifted his hand of protection. In 586 BC, the Babylonians destroyed the city of Jerusalem. The parallels of America and ancient Israel are uncanny.  I pray our fate won’t be the same, but it is a big part of the reason that I’m a prepper.

If you are new to prepping or would like to learn more about how to prepare for tomorrow, please read our 7 Step Preparedness Plan. Come back every Sunday for a new Prepper Bible Study! The most important prep of all is knowing GOD. Jesus said “what does it profit a man if he gains the whole world yet loses his own soul?” Prepper translation: “What good will it do you to survive the coming economic collapse, nuclear war or even a zombie apocalypse if you don’t know you will go to heaven when you die.” A recent study found that 10 out of 10 people die! On that day we will meet our Maker. It only makes sense to be prepared for that day. Click here to learn more about knowing GOD.

Have a blessed day and happy prepping!
