“These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” John 16:33

Eschatology is the study of the End Times and is a subject often glossed over by some churches. Most churches teach that the Church will be raptured  before the tribulation. While there are several verses and thoughts in the Bible that support this view, there are also some verses that seem to support a mid-tribulation rapture. Regardless of where your eschatological views fall, today’s verse assures us that we will have tribulation in this world. Our peace can come only through Jesus Christ.

If you fall in the pre-tribulation camp, remember the suffering and persecution that Christians are facing around the world. North Korea, Sudan and most of the Middle East will imprison or execute people for there Christian faith. Don’t think that could never happen in America. The trend-line is already in place. All we have to do to see that level of persecution in America is sit back in our easy chairs and do nothing.

The Coptic Christians in Egypt get tattoos of crosses on their wrists. The thought behind the crosses is that they would rather slit their wrists than deny Christ. Even before the Muslim Brotherhood came to power, they lived in a very anti-Christian neighborhood, but as much as anyone can be, they were mentally and spiritually prepared for the tribulation that was to come. During the time the Muslim brotherhood was in power, Egyptian churches were burned and many Christians were slaughtered. I pray that I will be as brave as the Coptic Christians in Egypt and my persecuted brothers around the globe when my time comes. And I pray that God will grant them the strength to endure and win the prize that he has in store for those who suffer for his name’s sake.

If you are new to prepping or would like to learn more about how to prepare for tomorrow, please read our 7 Step Preparedness Plan. Come back every Sunday for a new Prepper Bible Study! The most important prep of all is knowing GOD. Jesus said “what does it profit a man if he gains the whole world yet loses his own soul?” Prepper translation: “What good will it do you to survive the coming economic collapse, nuclear war or even a zombie apocalypse if you don’t know you will go to heaven when you die.” A recent study found that 10 out of 10 people die! On that day we will meet our Maker. It only makes sense to be prepared for that day. Click here to learn more about knowing GOD.

Have a blessed day and happy prepping!
