trump

For thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel; Let not your prophets and your diviners, that be in the midst of you, deceive you, neither hearken to your dreams which ye cause to be dreamed. For they prophesy falsely unto you in my name: I have not sent them, saith the Lord

Jeremiah 29:8-9

One of the new “prophetic words,” going around in the prophecy circles is that Donald Trump is a type of Cyrus whom God has sent to restore America. They believe Trump will pull us back from the brink, just as Cyrus issued the decree and helped to fund the rebuilding of Jerusalem after the Babylonian captivity.

Exercise caution when hearing these so-called words from God. To put it mildly, I’m skeptical. Very, very skeptical. Yes, I voted for Trump for many reasons, not the least of which is the fact that I believe his replacement for Scalia will be a better pick than Hillary’s ever would have been.

But on to the Cyrus prophecy. Cyrus was king of the Persians, a pagan culture. When he conquered Babylon, he released the Jews who’d been held captive so they could return to Juda. Oddly enough, many of the speakers who are espousing the Cyrus prophecy about Trump are the same ones claiming that Trump is now a Christian. Do you see the inconsistency there? Either Trump is a pagan king sent to restore America, or he is one of us. As the French say, you can’t have the butter and the money from selling the butter.

Here’s a little more about Cyrus. His decree to release the Jews came 70 years after they’d been taken into captivity and Jerusalem had been burnt to the ground. So, in a historical context, it doesn’t line up at all. We’re still sinning and grinning like there’s no tomorrow. We’re still slaughtering 3,288 babies a day, God’s Word is still banned from the classroom, and athieism is still taught to our children via evolution in the Bible’s stead. These are not the markings of a repentant nation whom the Lord has punished and is now ready to restore.

I do believe Trump offers us a better chance of righting these wrongs than Hillary would have, but we’ve got work to do if we hope to evade the judgement of God for our failures. Is it possible? Yes. Is it likely? Probably not.

I think God is giving us one last opportunity to repent of all this wickedness before he turns us over to selfdestruct. Let’s not squander it.

Jesus said “what does it profit a man if he gains the whole world yet loses his own soul?” Prepper translation: “What good will it do you to survive the coming economic collapse, nuclear war, or even a zombie apocalypse if you don’t know you will go to heaven when you die.” A recent study found that 10 out of 10 people die! On that day we will meet our Maker. It only makes sense to be prepared for that day. Click here to learn more about knowing GOD.

Have a blessed day and happy prepping!
