one mans terrorist

“One Man’s Terrorist” Film Review

“One Man’s Terrorist” is a fantastic short film written and directed by David Kirk West. In this film, The US has collapsed under the weight of our debt. UN peace keepers step in to restore order. In doing so, they trample our few remaining liberties. Freedom fighting patriots step up all over the country to choose freedom over oppression. The film follows one such group of patriots.

The film draws our attention to what it would be like to have foreign troops on our own soil. It then asks us to consider what it must feel like for citizens of other nations who see our troops occupying their land and trampling their freedoms. Much of our military ambitions are credited to fighting terrorism, but how many of those terrorists would quit fighting if they were just left alone? In the final scene of the film a soldier gives his true account of a scene similar to the final scene in the movie. He tells what his unit did and how they were received when they were sent to “liberate” a people who viewed them as oppressors.

I understand that terrorism has no easy solution, but it is used to keep the American public in fear. With that fear, our own government has convinced the citizens of America to give up their Fourth Amendment rights and allow NSA surveillance on their e-mail, Facebook posts, Skype calls, Google searches and bank accounts. We have also allowed them to pilfer our wealth through excessive taxation to fund a trillion dollar military budget. ($700 billion in D.O.D. budget and approximately $300 billion in black box spending for the CIA and NSA). Perhaps if we stuck to defending our own borders and minding our own business, ill will towards America would subside and terrorism that is a result of blow back from our interventions in affairs not our own would abate.

I hope you will watch “One Man’s Terrorist” as well as the following dramatization of a Speech by Dr. Ron Paul entitled  “Imagine.”

A huge shout out to Jacob Roy for turning me on to this film.
Happy Prepping!
