And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him. Hebrews 11:6

Last week was our introduction into Hebrews 11 which is all about faith and action. Get comfortable, because we’ll be in this chapter for a while.

Now, we all want to please God, right? And to do that, we need faith. But where does faith come from? Well, in Mark 9, we see the father of the afflicted child asking Jesus to help him overcome his unbelief. From that passage, we can deduce that faith comes by asking Jesus for it. As a caveat, when you ask, don’t be surprised if Jesus decides to teach you faith through some series of events rather than mystically imparting it to you. 😉

Romans 10:17 tells us faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. Notice it didn’t say by hearing ABC News, FOX, Info Wars or even the Prepper Recon Podcast, although I do try to squeeze in a little spiritual content from time to time. It only comes by hearing the Word of God. There are tons of great resources online for hearing the Word of God. Most of you who’ve been around for a while know that I am partial to classic Chuck Smith teachings, but John McArthur, Chuck Missler and Greg Laurie are also fantastic Bible teachers who offer free downloads that you can take with you where ever you go.

What you put in is what you get out. If you want to be filled with faith, you’ll have to make sure you’re putting in more of God’s Word than anything else.

Come back every Sunday for a new Prepper Bible Study! The most important prep of all is knowing GOD. Jesus said “what does it profit a man if he gains the whole world yet loses his own soul?” Prepper translation: “What good will it do you to survive the coming economic collapse, nuclear war or even a zombie apocalypse if you don’t know you will go to heaven when you die.” A recent study found that 10 out of 10 people die! On that day we will meet our Maker. It only makes sense to be prepared for that day. Click here to learn more about knowing GOD.

Have a blessed day and happy prepping!
