Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?

A lot of tricks claim to be the oldest trick in the book, but this one takes the prize, hands down. The very first deception ever was Satan getting Eve to question what God had said. It was such a successful disinformation campaign, that he has been using this tactic ever since.

He’ll often use it against believers to get them to question what the Bible really says about issues. He will also use it to get you to question what you have heard from God. That revelation that the Spirit gave you during your quiet time last week, was that really from God or was that just your mind making stuff up? That promise that God gave you when you were reading the Bible a couple months ago still has not come to pass. Was that actually a word from God?

There are times that our flesh will get in the way and causes us to cook up stuff “from God”. It takes a close relationship through prayer, worship and Bible reading to develop the disernment to know the difference. But, when you know you’ve received a word from the Spirit through diligent prayer or seeking Him through the Bible, don’t let the enemy dissuade you with doubt.

The Lord will strike you with madness and blindness and confusion of heart.

Deuteronomy 28:28

One of the curses for forsaking the Lord laid out in Deuteronomy 28 is madness and confusion of heart. That might be the most accurate summation of our present state of affairs.

At an Oregon community college on Thursday, we saw more Christians slaughtered as they stood to profess their faith in Christ. They were murdered by a soldier of the dark side, trained up to hate Christians by an atheistic society and taught by the Hollywood entertainment industry to ascribe no value to human life. They were murdered in a gun-free zone, provided by our reprobate government, which created a window for the killer to inflict the maximum amount of casualties without threat of being opposed by a law-abiding citizen.

Once again, Obama is calling for common sense gun laws. I have a few suggestions. For starters, let’s make it illegal to murder people with a gun in churches, schools, recruitment centers, military bases, theaters and everywhere else. Oh, we’ve already got that one on the books? Hmm. Seems like it’s not working. Since the only thing that stops a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun, let’s arm the good guys. I propose we ban gun-free zones. Let’s arm our teachers, students, pastors, parishioners, theater security guards and sell pistols in the lobby, next to the Skittles and Jr. Mints. I know this one is controversial, but why not hand out guns and ammo to US soldiers while we’re at it?

The bad guys obviously aren’t planning on obeying the existing laws and they don’t seem to be going away anytime soon. So let’s mitigate the threat.

Obama has no intention of anything that remotely resembles common sense in what he hopes to achieve in his gun laws. His plan is to further disarm the law-abiding citizens and create a safer environment for mission-oriented shooters to kill the most victims. It’s almost like he wants to destroy America, or at least nullify the remnants of the Constitution. And at the end of the day, despite how mass casualty events like the one at Umpqua make you feel, the Constitution is the law of the land. It cost our forefathers a lot of blood and treasure to get it. Let’s not give it away without a fight.

On a completely different subject, do you love your church? Then why not do the most loving thing you could possibly do for your church? Make a donation to the NRA today! The NRA has been relentlessly fighting to preserve the Second Amendment. While the lobby industry in DC is filled with filth and corruption, it’s how things get done in Washington. And the NRA is the only thing holding back the socialists and communists from taking your guns. What does that have to do with loving your church? Just see how long the communists and socialists allow you to keep gathering in the name of Jesus once you’ve been disarmed. I promise, it won’t be long.
