See, the Name of the LORD comes from afar, with burning anger and dense clouds of smoke; his lips are full of wrath, and his tongue is a consuming fire. His breath is like a rushing torrent, rising up to the neck. He shakes the nations in the sieve of destruction.

Isaiah 30:28-29

At a recent prophecy conference, I  heard Messianic Rabbi Jonathan Cahn speak on the Mystery of the Shemitah. It was a very attention getting speech. In a nut shell, he explained how 9/11 fell on the Jewish Shemitah, on the Jewish month and day of Elul 29. The Shemitah is a time of clearing away debts and tearing down which occurs every seven years. He explained how 9/11 was a call for America to repent. As you know, not only did our country not repent, but it has grown increasingly wicked. According tot the Jewish calendar, seven years later, on Elul 29, was the beginning of the great recession and was the day the Dow lost 777 points representing a 7% decline. This September 13, 2015 will complete the next seven-year cycle of the Shemitah. It is a day many prophecy watchers are going to be paying attention to since we still see no signs of repentance. As Rabbi Cahn says, you can’t put God in a box and he doesn’t have to do anything, but it makes sense to double check your preps and be sure you’re as ready as possible, for what ever may come.
