Sunday Prepper Bible Study- I Peter 4:10

Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms.

I Peter 4:10

Visiting at my mom’s church two weeks ago, I heard a great sermon on not being a spectator christian. The pastor pointed out that we should actively seek to use the gifts that God has given us to serve others. He reminded us of the parable of the talents where each servant was given an amount of money to invest. As the story goes, all of the servants were faithful except one. That one lost the talent he’d been given. I thought the sermon was a spectacular reminder.

As I pondered the message, I thought how it applies to the patriot. We should also use the gifts God has given us to preserve our freedom. Liberty is definitely one of those divine blessings that we must be faithful with or we will lose it. Try to think of a way that you can use the gifts God has given you this week to defend freedom. I know you don’t want to be a spectator patriot.

Which one do you want first? The good news? Okay. The good news is we’ve switched over to Libsyn for our podcast host. This should put an end to the issues we’ve been having for the past two weeks with Blubrry. They provided reliable service for about a year and a half, but they seem to not be able to address the recurring issues we’ve been having with media files not playing since last week. At this time, all the shows should be playing properly if you’ve missed any.

The bad news is that our shows uploaded prior to the switch won’t be available once the Blubrry account is closed out. If you’ve been meaning to download some old favorites from the show archives, do it now because they won’t be available much longer.

I’ll try to upload some of the best show periodically once the account is closed, but I have a quota as to how much data I can upload each month.

Sunday Prepper Bible Study- Philippians 4:13

 I can do everything through him who gives me strength. Philippians 4:13

I can do all things is a great motto, but it’s only a half truth. And a half truth is little more than a lie. When the enemy convinces us that we can do all things by ourselves, we run ahead of God and try to do things on our own. When things don’t work out, we blame God. I’m sure He’s amused.  

When things fall apart, the best thing we can do is take a step back, pray for help and start over. It sounds so simple, but whether it is because of pride or believing that we can do all things on our own, we often forget that important step. And when it works, don’t forget to thank God for his assistance. Don’t assume that you don’t have to ask again. If it’s something that you struggle with, ask God for help with it every day. You can do all things through Him who gives you strength.
