Prepping in an Apartment with Bernie Carr
Today’s guest is Bernie Carr from ApartmentPrepper.com. Bernie is also the author of several books including The Prepper’s Pocket Guide, How to Prepare for Most Emergencies on $50 a Month, and her new children’s prepper book which will be out in March 2014 called Jake and Miller’s Big Adventure.
Bernie and I discuss several of the unique challenges that preppers who live in an apartment face. Bernie has come up with several solutions that are useful to apartment preppers and anyone who is trying to maximize the space they have to work with.
Bernie gives us her expert opinion on being financially prepared for disasters. She tells us how to save money and build an emergency fund. She also tells us about a personal experience that taught her to keep cash on hand and outside of the banking system.

Happy Prepping!
I have adapted to residing in a double occupancy with my son for three years now. We have what we need by using some smart space use. Under the beds we have roll out storage totes and 5gals plastic buckets, water is stored in bathroom in various size containers, plastic pint alocol bottles can be put in to cracks and crannies and fits well in pockets, stack-able cabinets and shelves allow us to go high allowing view of contents, essentials is the word.
Your number one survival tool is your brain. Sounds like you are putting it to good use Terry. Keep up the great work!
