danger

A prudent man sees danger and takes refuge, but the simple keep going and suffer for it. Proverbs 22:3

I have used this verse before, but it bears repeating given the turmoil in financial markets this past week. We saw the Dow lose over 300 points on Friday. Global currencies also got hammered. The Argentinian Peso lost 18% of its value last week. No, that is not a misprint, 18% in one week! We will have Ferfal on the podcast this Wednesday to talk about the Argentinian Economic Collapse in 2001. The Turkish Lira has also lost 7% of its value in the past 3 weeks. The South African Rand and the Russian Ruble also hit 5 year lows last week.

This may not be the end of the world, but it is certainly marks extreme volatility in the currency markets. I know today’s study isn’t very spiritual, but I believe sometimes, God just wants us to exercise a little common sense.

Many of us try to spread the message of preparedness to our friends at church and are often told that they are trusting God to take care of them. All I have to say is  “No they’ re not!” If they were trusting God to take care of them, they would be gleaning the wisdom of  His word which says “ A prudent man sees danger and takes refuge, but the simple keep going and suffer for it.”

If you are new to prepping or would like to learn more about how to prepare for tomorrow, please read our 7 Step Preparedness Plan. Come back every Sunday for a new Prepper Bible Study! The most important prep of all is knowing GOD. Jesus said “what does it profit a man if he gains the whole world yet loses his own soul?” Prepper translation: “What good will it do you to survive the coming economic collapse, nuclear war or even a zombie apocalypse if you don’t know you will go to heaven when you die.” A recent study found that 10 out of 10 people die! On that day we will meet our Maker. It only makes sense to be prepared for that day. Click here to learn more about knowing GOD.

Have a blessed week and happy prepping!
